Our Green Production Process
Our production process aligns with our sustainability goals, ensuring that every step in our productions reflects our commitment to minimising environmental impact. Here's how we’re making a difference:
1. Waste Reduction
We've implemented a robust waste management system that emphasises recycling and reusing materials. We aim to divert as much waste from landfills as possible. Our goal is to minimise waste at every stage of production even when on location.
2. Transport and Travel
At One Tribe TV, we are committed to traveling sustainably as a key component of our environmental strategy. Our approach includes the use of public transportation and carpooling among employees to reduce the overall carbon footprint of our travel activities. We actively offset our travel emissions by investing in carbon offset projects. Additionally, our travel policies promote virtual meetings and remote collaborations to minimise the need for travel altogether. By integrating these practices, we are not only reducing our environmental impact but also demonstrating our commitment to a greener future.
3. Sustainable Equipment
At One Tribe TV, we are dedicated to powering our camera equipment with sustainable energy solutions to minimise our environmental impact. Our operations and production facilities are equipped with battery recharging stations to help ensure our employees use battery powered equipment on location where possible.
4. Employee Training
Sustainability is a collective effort. We engage our employees and the community in our green initiatives by providing ongoing education about sustainable practices and encouraging staff to participate in our environmental programs. And encouraging employees to further their understanding by using external resources such as Albert.
Setting a good example
Our journey towards sustainable production is in the forefront of our minds when completing new productions. When filming our newest production Legends of Welsh Sport: Liz Johnson: Swimming Against the Tide, we followed these production processes as well as creating new ones specifically for this production. Three of our crew members committed to going meat free and we are pleased to say that two of those employees have decided to continue with this decision after the production ended. We also used local crew to the area we were filming and car shares when possible.
